Thanks, Joy for starting this blog. I think it's a fabulous idea! I have to admit, this is a little scary for me. Many things are whirling through my head. What if I say (type) the wrong thing? I want to be connected, but how will you all feel about me when you really get to know me? God's been growing me a lot lately, and it isn't always pretty! Many times I feel awkward, but I cling to the promise that He makes everything beautiful in His time! Anyway, I will be watching the posts and hopefully getting up the courage to post my own stuff every once in awhile.

I am glad I am not the only one. I think this is a good idea but how much of myself am I willing to share? What if you don't like me when you really get to know me? I am trusting the One who knows me best on this one. If He says share it then I am trusting that part of the reason I am going through it is so that 1-He will be glorified and 2-Someone else can learn something too.

I couldn't agree more Jodi. Both on how Christ has growing me a LOT (and in not so pretty ways) and in how scary it can be to share....and truly share beyond our masks.

and many of you who know me, know that I did not grow up in the CRC environment but grew up in one where people shared the good and the bad easily so I tend to be an open book. I won't share things that may hurt the character of someone else but since we all have hurts and scars, we really are in the same boat and I feel we should be able to share and lift one another up in the good times and the bad. Since this will sign me in as Hoosier (term for someone from Indiana) in Iowa...my real name is Connie Thingstad!
